Probability
I'm driving down the road; the rain's coming down pretty good. The weatherman just came on the radio and said, "We've got an 80% chance of rain today."
I may not know a lot about meteorology, but I think that's pretty close to 100%.
I've always wondered how they come up with their percentages as well... It seems to me that almost everytime they say it is 80% or so you can take it to the bank that you are going to get wet. I also get a kick out of the long range forecasts in the summertime. After about day three, all the remaining days are "partly cloudy with a 20% chance of isolated thunderstorms". How much do they pay these guys??? (I think I'm just jealous of Brad Travis...) -Jud

Good question. I bet they make more than we do...
