Patience

Why is patience one of those things you need to learn? I mean, I'd like to have my patience *now*, please. Do I really need a turned over backhoe making me late for work this morning to teach it to me? If you're reading this, and you'd like to get me some patience for Christmas, that'd be great. And if you wanted to give me my Christmas present early, I wouldn't mind.

Math Problems

So, do you think this sign in front of Gray's Clothing in Elgin, AL is on purpose? I just have to wonder how many people just gotta get that second pair of jeans 'cause of the money they'll save.

Can I have a little coke with my ice?

You know, it may just be the cynic in me, but when I order my Sonic coke with *easy* ice and my wife orders hers with *extra* ice, and they get mixed up, I can't help but think they're back there saying, "Heh, heh, let's switch 'em; that'll teach 'em for makin' special orders."

I know there must be some sort of anti-Jim conspiracy. Hey - just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're *not* out to get you.

Patriotism

Sometimes you're just not allowed to forget you live in Alabama.

Where'd the Weekend Go?

It's always nice to be driving home on a Friday afternoon after a long work week. But then, it'll only feel like a couple hours have passed and it's Monday morning and I'm getting out of bed for work.

Glad I could start your weekend off on a happy note!

Time

I think I might be able to get all the stuff done I want to if there were about 48 hours in a day.

Scattered Thoughts on the Way Home

"There's a feeling I get
When I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving..."

Fabulous!

Krista and I saw this Orbit Gum commercial for the first time last night.

We nearly fell out of our chairs we laughed so hard.

Duh, part II

I was thinking about this the other day.

Only because - you know, I'm crazy and I obsess about things.

Anyway, most guys (especially around here) would have said, "Hey, Josh - nice home run the other day," or "That was a great game you played against the Mets."

But, what did I say?

Because - you know, I'm cool?

"I've been reading your blog on the Times Daily."

Yeah, I'm a great big dork...

Duh.

I said hello to Josh Willingham in church today. I called him "John"; which is, of course, his brother's name.

I'm probably the only person in the Shoals to call Josh by the wrong name.

I'm an idiot.

*sigh*
